ADG Athlete surprises in Tenerife

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Wednesday, 8 October 2025

Santiago, Tenerife

In scenes that will go down in the (slightly smaller) history books of miniature golf, Michael the newest recruit to the ADG Player Development Team, stunned onlookers and possibly himself —by recording not one, but TWO hole-in-ones at the legendary Mini Golf Santiago course in Tenerife.

The first moment of magic came at the deceptively simple 3rd hole a nail biting 10-foot putt that rolled true, kissed the lip, and dropped with the kind of authority that makes seasoned mini golfers nod respectfully. Witnesses report that Michael “looked quietly confident,” though one spectator suggested it may have been sunstroke.

But lightning does strike twice. On the formidable 9th hole, a 15-foot monster featuring a metal funnel obstacle, Michael defied physics, geometry, and probably luck, as his ball spiraled in and vanished into the cup like it was magnetically programmed to do so.

ADG Player Development officials have yet to confirm whether this achievement will count toward world ranking points, but early reports indicate that Michael has already requested a new putter sponsorship deal and a framed scorecard.

When asked for comment, Michael humbly stated:

“I’d like to thank my new ADG team for the coaching, the sun for drying the tears of my opponents, and the metal funnel on 9 for being slightly off-center.”

Mini Golf Santiago management are said to be considering renaming the 9th hole “The Michael Funnel” in his honour, pending fan approval and availability of fresh paint.
